There are 5 co-education year groups with all the children entering in September of the appropriate year.
Classes are structured as follows.
- DAY CARE (3 MONTHS – 12 MONTHS) (7: 00AM – 6: 00PM)
The school provides daycare services to children from the ages of 3 months to 12 months. Parents may leave their wards with us assured of a clear baby friendly environment and experienced mothers and health personnel as a baby sitters. Various educational toys are also provided for these children.
- KINDERGARTEN ( 1- 3 YEARS)
The KG class takes care of children between the ages of 1 to 3 years. The children are introduced to how to hold a pencil through various educational entertainment toys and educational films are provided for them. The teachers also introduce the rudiments of reading and writing.
- NURSERY CLASS (3 – 5 YEARS)
A maximum of 20 children per class cared for by a teacher and a full Nursery Assistant. This is the period of great changes, physically and mentally in the children. They are taught reading, writing and recognition of numbers and letters with outdoor and indoor physical exercises to aid children’s growth.
- PRIMARY SECTION (6 – 11 YEARS)
20 children in each class. This section is divided into lower and upper primary. Lower primary 1 – 3 and upper primary is 4 – 6.
- SECONDARY EDUCATION (11 – 15 YEARS)
Our objectives are to build students with the will and skill to learn. To build better and independent learners and not simply learning better.
The Pillars academy like all other post-primary schools in the state run both the three year Junior Secondary course and Senior Secondary School course.
At the end of each course, students sit for external examinations conducted by the Lagos State Examination Board (For JSCE) and West African Examination Council (WAEC), and National Examination Council for Nigeria (NECO for SSCE).
